Minato Rubber was established in Minato ward Tokyo in 1969. The name of Minato is derived from “Minato” ward. The company was set up as a wholesaler of rubber products. Then it has grown up to a rubber parts manufacturer for automobile through riding the wave of motorization.
Now we have three bases in Japan. The head office and laboratory for testing and experimental production is located in Funabashi, Chiba prefecture. Iwate factory that has a role for mass production is located in Nihohe, Iwate prefecture. RDC(Research and Development Center) that has a main role for new products development is located in Inashiki, Ibaragi prefecture. We built out effective bases to meet customers’ needs carefully.
In 2014, we established “MINATO RUBBER VIETNAM CO., LTD”(MRV) 100% owned by Minato Rubber Co., Ltd and enhanced our sales arms to meet the requirement of global procurement by customers.
We hold out the corporate identity of “We link ourselves to the world through rubber ”. It expresses our wish to make a social contribution by eliminating environmental hazardous substances positively and marketing products specially considered to care for environment.
Our slogan is “Challenge to ZERO & Pursue imagination”. It stands for our corporate stance that each and every staff challenge to solve various problems and think out to achieve a target.
We continue challenging together to provide “valuable products” with the password of “Challenge Together”. Let us challenge together.

Minato Rubber have developed various kinds of production know-how. Since we started business, we have built up our skill and know-how to manufacture rubber and plastic parts for automobile as a main product and expanded its production to fine rubber parts for pneumatic control devices, anti-vibration rubber for building materials and silicone baby bottle nipple. This means that our products can cover extensive field of industries. Its driving force is our posture to challenge together with our customers. Our existence value is the ability to propose in various ways with know-how ever being updated.

Metal mold for press machine is one of the key device for the production. We have our own production facilities to manufacture metal mold and one of the feature is to to accept quick delivery. We are able to control time schedule up to start of production and mass production in line with our customers’ requirement.

We have 2 factories in Japan and one factory in Vietnam that can provide sophisticated and high quality products. The customers can be satisfied with the advantage of production planning by choosing the best location and facility according to the requirement.

We established highly stable supply sources in South East Asia especially as well as the low material suppliers in Japan. The strong supply source in South East Asia is one of our advantage in terms of Japan’s standard quality as well as international cost competitiveness.

Minato Rubber have managed to make a lot of products of specialty rubber such as HNBR, silicone rubber, fluoro-rubber as well as other specialty rubbers. Further more, recently we are positively approaching finding and adopting the substitute for environmental hazardous substances.

Our subsidiary company, Minato Rubber Vietnam(MRV) started business holding out the slogan of “japan standard quality made by Vietnam” . Increasing consumption of rubber material shows its accomplishment. We have increased production facilities step by step as planned. The human resources is rich and ample. Japan standard quality made in Vietnam is spreading its sales network over the world.
